IPTorrents.com

A few weeks ago I was sent an invite to IPTorrents.com by EMQ.  It’s a pretty good site, and I actually like it better than TorrentBytes.net.  I’m not sure what the TTL (Time To Live) is set at on IPTorrents (IPT), but on TorrentBytes (TB) it’s 1000 hours.  When I’m a little backed up on downloading a TV series I can usually find more episodes on IPT than on TB.

I have the ability to invite someone who actually uses torrents, and will keep a good ratio.  I’m pretty serious when it comes to torrents, and I have a dedicated computer that is constantly seeding 24/7/365.  If you’re interested, post a reply telling me about your torrent habits and I’ll consider your request.

For those of you who are worried about “the man” finding out that you downloaded an episode of iCarly, please understand that when you use private trackers like IPT and TB, that shit doesn’t happen.  I’ve received 3 notices from my ISP over the course of the last 6 years or so.  ALL of those notices were from torrents I downloaded from PUBLIC trackers.  I’ve downloaded several terabytes worth of torrents from private trackers and have yet to receive 1 notice from my ISP since.

If you’re seeding 24/7, you should consider upgrading to Boost man; that shit is fucking blazing fast for $10 more/month. I think for me, torrents have been tainted with all the lawsuits. I know, I know, private trackers are different, and I totally understand, but still, leaving software running constantly seeding shit still makes me nervous for some reason. Thanks for the offer though man!

I don’t think that the extra $10 will benefit me at all. I get downloads pretty fast, and I’m not usually in a rush. As far as uploads, I limit the upload bandwidth for my torrents to 100kbps.

How is it that the authorities looking to track the biggest players can’t manage to be pulled into the loop with these private trackers?

That’s a good question. I’ve always wondered that. I thought that maybe there was a stipulation in the site agreement that you’re prohibited from joining if you’re a member of law enforcement. By agreeing to those terms, you’re falsifying documents if you actually are a LEO (law enforcement officer), and would be committing a crime. Of course, that’s probably all bull shit. What it all comes down to are the invite only trackers. What pirate in their right mind would give an invite to someone working for the RIAA or MPAA?

Being a producer and being a rat for the RIAA are different things.
